Missions
First Baptist Church, Sweetwater presently participates in several ministries in our community.
Some of our members work with incarcerated individuals in the local jail as well as state prisons. We minister to the families of prisoners by working with the Angel Tree organization.
FBC ministers to international students at TSTC. We reach out to new mothers needing assistance by working with the Women's Resource Center in Sweetwater. Our children's department frequently sponsors food drives to assist those individuals who need food.
FBC youth are involved in mission trips through our church. Adults from our church have gone on mission trips to such places as Mexico, Thailand and Zambia.
Each fall FBC has a fall carnival as a Halloween alternative and as an outreach to members of our community.
Each summer our church has Vacation Bible School as well as other opportunities such as choir camp or VBS at the park to reach others in our community for Christ.
