Local Missions
First Baptist Church currently participates in several ministries in our community.
Some of our members work with incarcerated individuals in the local jail, as well as state prisons. We minister to the families of prisoners by working with the Angel Tree organization.
FBC ministers to students at TSTC by partnering with the Baptist Student Ministry. We reach out to new mothers needing assistance by working with the Women's Resource Center in Sweetwater. Our children's department frequently sponsors food drives to assist those individuals who need food.
Each fall FBC has a fall carnival as a Halloween alternative and as an outreach to members of our community.
Each summer our church has P3s, which are like a Vacation Bible School in local parks and housing units, to reach the community for Christ.
