This week at first Baptist church
First Baptist Church invites you and your family to join us on this Sunday, August 23, 2015, for Bible study, beginning at 9:15 am for all ages, followed by the Sunday morning service, which begins at 10:30 am. First Baptist Church is located at 213 East Third Street, next door to the Post Office. We will warmly greet you! Your presence will enhance our worship experience and our fellowship together!
Thank you for choosing to worship as a part of our church family. Pastor Jerry would love to meet you after the service, so please introduce yourself after worship in the back of the Sanctuary. 213Life began August 16. This insightful three-part conversation series continues on Sunday! We will discover a deeper meaning of Vision, Faith and Leadership from Jesus’ teaching in Mark 4 and 5. This Sunday, the Conversation begins with Mark 4, “213 Life-Kingdom Faith”.
We would love to help you join First Baptist Church or a Small Group. For more information on joining the Church or a Small Group, visit with Cathy Wilks after the Worship Service in the back of the Sanctuary at the Small Group Table.
Are you looking for a way to serve? We have opportunities for you to serve, just connect with Pastor Jerry or Tique and we will help you find a place to serve.
Wednesday mornings at Nolan Nursing and Rehabilitation, Donna Haley brings a Bible Study for the residents at 10 am. If you could help by leading some hymns, even once a month, please let Donna know.
The Missions item to be collected for the month of August is canned fruit. Each month we have collected different items which are being used to restock our pantry which is to be used as a resource for needy families.
Koinonia coffee is held at the Welcome Center before Bible study each Sunday morning. Coffee is the perfect complement to meeting old friends and new. It is an invitation to sit and talk for a while, to share stories, to get to know one another better. You are invited to join friends each Sunday morning as we all share a warm cup of Koinonia Coffee.
