What We Believe

As Texas Baptists, we align with the Baptist Faith and Message of 1963 as to a general statement of doctrinal beliefs.  As a church, the Baptist Faith and Message of 1963 is a guide, but not our ruling doctrine of the church.  Though we agree with the these doctrinal statements, we understand that our faith is continually growing in knowledge of the Lord and the Word of God.  With such an understanding, our hearts and minds are always open to what God is teaching us.  Below is the doctrinal beliefs that we align with as they are presented in the Baptist Faith and Message of 1963:
I.   The Scriptures
II.  God
III. Humans
IV. Salvation
V.  God's Purpose of Grace
VI. The Church
VII.  Baptism &
        The Lord's Supper

VIII. The Lord's Day
IX.   The Kingdom
X.    Last Things
XI.   Evangelism &

Missions
XII.   Education
XIII.  Stewardship
XIV.  Cooperation
XV.   The Christian &
        The Social Order

XVI.  Peace & War
XVII. Religious Liberty
